Small and Simple

"Now ye may suppose that this is foolishness in me; but behold I say unto you, that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass; and small means in many instances doth confound the wise."
My thoughts are brought, this week, to this scripture. By small and simple things, great things can happen. Every little bit helps. Someone once told me that pennies stack up, Walmart can raise their prices by mere pennies, and make a million bucks. How tiny is a penny compared to a million dollar?
It is the small things in my life, the little kisses or the smiles that add up and make my life better. Also growing and trying to become more perfect, I work on small things and eventually I will reach perfection. Although no one is perfect, I can do everything possible to try.
A really good friend once told me to write out my problems that need to be fixed and label them by importance. Then go down the list and work on them one by one. That has stuck with me ever since. Start small and work your way up.
The quote says that "small means in many instances doth confound the wise."  I think that means that sometimes the wise people can become confused because the answer isn't this huge, elaborate thing, it is small and simple and not as complicated as they automatically assume it will be.
Little children, for instance, are innocent and they have a tendency to be able to be closer to heaven than the rest of us. Who's to say that a small child, such as a baby couldn't be the answer that we have been waiting for all along? (Oh wait that has happened, Christ games as a little baby, and many did not believe because they were waiting for some glorious being to come down and show them the way. When He was just a small baby.)
Every moment counts towards reaching the end goal, as long as your intentions are in the right place. Your heart has to want it. If your heart is there, your mind will be also. Even the smallest thought of love or action of faith adds too it.
Christ knows your every thought, and He sees your every action. He is the fly on every wall and He knows what you need and He cares about your happiness. Never stop adding that one penny to your jar of life. It will add up to something wonderful someday soon.
Take care of yourself. You matter to me. Thank you for reading!
