There is something about September that for some reason makes me smile. I don't know if it's the windy days that being in the smell of life or if it's the rain showers that decide to grace us with their presence.. But I love it!
This morning I woke up and smelled the day. I know that may sound odd but that is the only way I know how to explain it. I walked barefoot outside to get yesterday's mail and I just stood on the grass for a while. I felt the tree and heard the birds singing. I felt the amazing cool breeze on my skin and the cold grass on my toes. I love September.
I can't help thinking of that song "Wake Me Up When September Ends" and wondering why anyone would want to sleep through this amazing month!! I'm so done with the hot summer days and I'm ready to wear hoodies again and drink hot tea and hot chocolate!
I walked around with a smile on my face today and loved every moment of it! It's going to be a long, wonderful autumn. :) time to start decorating!!
